The Centurion Lounge at DFW has a number of amenities that make travel a lot more enjoyable. It is conveniently located in Concourse D, which is where all of my international AA flights tend to fly in and out of. I am personally not a fan of DFW, but one thing I like about DFW is how easy it is (or at least in my experience) to get around. You can really get to any concourse in about 15 minutes, so even if your flight is taking off elsewhere and you have a long layover, you have no excuse to not head to Concourse D to check out this lounge. Some of the amenities include:
Complimentary Food & Beverage
Clearly the highlight of the lounge for this foodie, especially considering the quality here. Craft cocktails include: the Flor de Oaxaca which consists of Vida Mezcal, Lime Juice, Grapefruit Juice, Pineapple Syrup, and Jasmine tea. Or if you are looking for something for liquor forward, try the Marzipan which is Remy Martin VSOP Cognac, Luxardo Amaretto di Saschira, Huilerie Beaujolaise Vinaigre de Mangue, Angostura Bitters.
For breakfast, why not indulge in the braised short rib hash or if you’re wanting something sweet try the vanilla bean French toast with Mexican cajeta, caramelized pineapple and burnt orange cream . Or for dinner, try Texas mole chicken with jalapeno cream corn, or if looking for something healthy try the wild kale arugula salad with Texas goat cheese, watermelon radish, sundried cherries, pine nuts, and apple sherry vinaigrette. Yes, this menu is real life.
Complimentary Spa Treatments
I have yet to take advantage of this benefit as my layovers have not been long enough, but some day I will book a flight with a long layover for this alone. Forgot to get a pedicure? No problem, get one here. That long international flight have you tense in the neck? No problem, treat yourself to a nice little massage here.
Complimentary WiFi
This is a must, but nice to have a dedicated network to lounge members and not have to share the public WiFi.
Plentiful Seating
There are so many different alcoves in the lounge with varied types of seating. Everything from high tables and chairs, to desks (I mean there is a conference room within the lounge), to comfortable couch-like chairs. There’s something for everyone!
Many Outlets
A business traveler’s dream.
Basically, any time I have a flight scheduled to go through DFW now, I do a happy dance in my head knowing that I can head here. I cannot wait to go to the newly opened MIA Centurion Lounge on my birthday in July!
