I had always have dreamed of staying at One&Only Palmilla. The white stucco buildings, feeling of serene seclusion, lush greenery, world-class cuisine – it’s everything I had imagined as a perfect luxury getaway. What I didn’t expect however was leaving this resort after a two night stay with it quite possibly being my new favorite resort… ever.

I get the hype now. One&Only Palmilla truly feels like a Hawaiian oasis in Cabo and has by far the best service I have ever experienced. Take a look at why I fell head over heels for this resort and am already planning my return…

The Resort

As mentioned, One&Only Palmilla is a secluded paradise in Cabo and feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle, yet is in reality just a short drive away from restaurants, activities, and nightlife.

If the stunning architecture and decor doesn’t convince you at first, the service will. Our butler was there to assist with anything at all times – he even came and met us at the swim-up bar at the pool to assist with our spa appointments! As luxurious as everything may be, I was impressed that it did not feel stuffy or ostentatious at all. Just great, intuitive hospitality.

The Room

As gorgeous as the resort itself is, so are the rooms. We stayed in an Oceanfront One Bedroom Grand Suite which was 1400 square feet of pure luxury. The spacious two-room suite and large terrace made us never want to leave the room!

Activities

There’s no shortage of things to do at One&Only Palmilla! My favorite way to spend the day was swimming in one of the two ocean view pools, one of them being family friendly and the other adults only.

Pelican Beach at One&Only Palmilla is one of the only swimmable beaches in the Los Cabos area, making it the perfect place to try out surfing or stand up paddle boarding. The resort has partnered with Tropicsurf to bring you world-class surfing instruction – you’ll be a pro in no time! Another plus? One&Only offers complimentary non-motorized water sports including snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding!

Golfers rejoice as Palmilla has a Jack Nicklaus designed 27-hole golf course with stunning ocean views.

Food & Beverage

For breakfast we ate at both Agua by Larbi and Breeze. We started each morning with a freshly squeezed green juice and coffee while admiring the ocean views. My favorite dishes were the Buckwheat Crepes as well as Poached Eggs over Sauteed Veggies.

For lunch, we chose to dine in our lounge chairs so as to not waste a single moment of sunbathing! We had the Spicy Chicken Tostadas with beans, lettuce, pickled onion & local cheese and Shrimp Tempura Tacos with guacamole, chipotle mayo & cucumber. Also can’t forget the most delicious Ginger Margarita!

Fo dinner we ate at both Suviche and Seared. I honestly cannot get over how good both meals were. My favorites at Suviche were all of the Sushi Rolls as well as cooking our own meat on the hot stone! At Seared I loved the Slow Baked Salmon with Brussels Sprouts & Black Truffle Vinaigrette.

Spa

Ahhhh, spa time. The spa at One&Only has ESPA products so you know it’s good. And the treatments? We both agreed it was one of the best massages we’ve ever had!

I also loved the pre-massage relaxation areas including the quaint grotto with whirlpool. It was so quiet, you feel like you’re taken into a different world. The tropical oasis is the perfect place to unwind!

I took a kickboxing class one day and ohhhh boy was it a workout! The One&Only fitness center is world-class and offers personal training, private & group fitness classes, and yoga & Pilates classes.
