So what do you get the friend or family member you never see because they are always traveling for work? You know they enjoy living a healthy lifestyle although that often includes a hotel room workout or eating on the go. This person in your life is also stylish, always put together, and loves to keep up on the latest trends.
If you know a road warrior like this in your life, let them know you’re thinking of them while they’re traveling by getting them a thoughtful gift related to their crazy life. Here’s my guide to some things that I would personally appreciate receiving (friends and family take note!)
For the Organized Business Traveler…
Stationery ($9 for 10): One thing I always travel with is blank stationery to write cards. This could be a thank you card to the bellman who was extremely helpful all week, a birthday card to a co-worker you’re traveling with, or a congratulations card to send home to a friend when something exciting happens that you aren’t home for. Whatever the case is, I think a hand written card goes a long way. Give a personalized set with their initials or name, or something with a personal touch. For example if they’re from San Francisco and give people a card such as this on their travels, the person receiving the card will always remember that little fact about them!
Document Organizer ($30): Keep passport, boarding pass, and travel documents organized in this pretty document organizer. My boarding pass always seems to float to the bottom of my bag, but this keeps everything in its place!
Cord Organizer ($49): I swear cords take up half my bag and are always tangled. This is ideal for someone who travels with a phone, iPad, camera, Kindle, and more.
For the Tech Savvy Business Traveler…
Noise Canceling Headphones ($100): I’ve always been a fan of noise canceling headphones, but these are great because they are stylish too! While there are other good options for 3x the price, these are a good price point at only $100.
Mobile Charger ($60): LIFE-SAVING when you are traveling and cannot find an outlet! This one is ultra thin, pretty, and Kate Spade. Win, win, win. (PS – As I sat here at Whole Foods writing this exact past sentence, a girl asked me for a phone charger because her phone died. I can’t make this stuff up).
Item Tracker ($25 each): Hate waiting around for your bag wondering how long it is going to take? Or maybe even your bag gets lost and you have no idea when you’ll get it. Attach a Tile tracker to your bag, carry-on, keys, etc. and you can track it from your phone!
For the Healthy Business Traveler…
Foldable Travel Yoga Mat ($25): Something I seriously need. This would come in handy if you want to visit any ClassPass yoga studios while traveling or for hotel room workouts.
KIND Bar Cube ($48): Bars like KIND are perfect when you need something quick, and the packaging of this cube is more festive and fun to unwrap!
One Month Membership to ClassPass: Do you have that friend who complains how they can’t keep a gym membership because they travel so much? Well ClassPass has been the answer for me! Giving you access to studios in cities all over the country makes working out while on the road a breeze.
For the Trendy Business Traveler…
Carry-On Cocktail Kit ($24): Make travel fun with these adorable carry-on cocktail kits. I mean who wants a boring cocktail on the plane when you can make something worthy of a craft cocktail bar? There a kit to suit everyone such as Champagne Cocktail, Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and Gin & Tonic.
Passport Case ($40): Passports don’t always have to be boring. A cute case (and anything cheetah print) is a fashionable accessory for the globetrotter in your life!
Tocca Wanderlust Gift Set ($48): Life on the road can be hard and sometimes you just want to feel the luxuries of home and be pampered. I love this gift set because it gives you a little slice of homey luxury. It includes a sleep mask, travel-sized perfume, candle, and accompanying matches.
Safe travels y’all!
Best,
Chelsea Rose Martin
