7am – Breakfast
Start your day off with a nutritious, filling breakfast and a big cup of coffee. I love that’s there’s almond milk on the cereal buffet (which I use for my coffee, oops) and a wide selection of healthy options both to-go and for dining in. Sit inside or out and feel free to wear your bathrobe to breakfast!
What to order: Avocado Toast, Lake Austin Hash, Make Your Own Fruit Salad, Side of Vegan Sausage Patty
8am – Boaga: Boat & Lakeside Yoga and Hike
Wake up and smell the roses with a 10 minute boat ride down the lake where you will disembark and begin your casual morning workout. We hiked/walked 1.5 miles in the wilderness along the lake passing old oak trees, log cabins, and more. We then did a 20 minute light yoga series on the grass which I found to be the perfect way to ease into the day.
10am – Stand Up Paddle Boarding or Hydrobikes
As if your morning hike & yoga wasn’t enough of a workout for you, time to get your water workout on! Work on that core with stand up paddle boarding or fire up those legs on a hydrobike. Or you can be like me and simple sit on either and enjoy the lake view.
11am – Lunch
You have two options for lunch that are very different but equally enjoyable. I recommend eating in Aster Cafe at the Spa where the dining room is adorned in colorful plaids and beautiful blue tile tables.
What to order: Kale Dip, Guacamole, Power Bowl, Sumac Crusted Salmon, & Sorbet
12pm – Pool Relaxation Time
You’ve had an active morning, now it’s time to take a break and soak up the sun in the most relaxing fashion. There’s also an indoor pool if that’s what you fancy.
2pm – Cooking Class
Want to bring this rejuvenated, healthy lifestyle back home with you? Start in the kitchen and learn a healthy recipe plus tips & tricks from Nutritionist Michael Kubyk. He will demonstrate a recipe for you, talk about ways to switch it up, everyone tastes the dish, and then you go home with the recipe! We absolutely loved these raw zucchini rolls stuffed with goat cheese, fig, basil & chive.
3:30pm – Spa Treatment
No perfect spa day is complete without a treatment, and Lake Austin Spa does not disappoint. With over 100 spa treatments to choose from, there’s truly something for everyone. I went with the 80-minute Muscle Tension Melt Massage, and I can honestly say I’ve never felt so relaxed in my life (and got to go home with a set of compresses to continue my relaxation and rejuvenation!)
6pm – Dinner
Time to unwind with another delicious & nutritious meal! This is the perfect time to indulge in a good glass of wine (we loved a bottle of sparkling rose and Meiomi Pinot Noir) and try multiple items on the menu (it is all-inclusive of course). Don’t forget a cup of sorbet or frozen yogurt for dessert!
