Welcome to my English palace!
Located in the Berkshire Countryside of England, Cliveden House has a secluded and lush feel surrounded by 376 acres of stunning National Trust managed Grade I listed formal gardens and parkland. This place exudes luxury with all of the decor details both on the interior and exterior of the property, and it’s only going to get better. Cliveden House is near the end of a three year renovation to restore it to all of its original glitz and glory which will include a brand new pool & spa by May 2017. I cannot wait to visit once it is fully done!
Although my time at Cliveden House was short, it sure was sweet. I mean it when I say this is one of my favorite hotels I have stayed in. It is grand yet welcoming, quiet yet so much to do, and quaint yet never feels crowded.
There are so many reasons why I love Cliveden House, but you’ll just have to see for yourself!

The Hotel
This hotel is truly something special and one of a kind. While you’re only 29 miles from London Heathrow International Airport, you feel worlds away as if you’re in your own little fairytale. And with only 48 rooms, you’ll feel like you’re truly staying in a palace.
I love the little fun touches like how they deliver your luggage to your room in wicker wheelbarrows and offering you cookies and water for your departure when you check out.
My favorite part? The amount of terraces and spaces you can relax at to take in the views of the countryside and River Thames. We were so lucky to be there during good weather so we could soak it all in!
The Rooms
We stayed in a junior suite, and I loved the rich colors, high ceilings, and spacious layout. The separate seating area is complete with a fireplace and makes for a great area to hang out. Also, there’s a white marble bathroom…swoon!

Breakfast
Breakfast with a view is an understatement at Cliveden House as you get to dine overlooking the beautiful lawn of the hotel as well as off into the Berkshire Countryside.
You can go as hearty as a traditional English breakfast or choose something light like the “Lady Astor” which was poached eggs and avocado. There’s also an extensive continental breakfast display with fruit, yogurts, granola, pastries, and more!
Breakfast for two is included when you book your stay at Cliveden House with Passport To Friday!
Drinks on the Terrace and Lobby Bar
Cliveden House has a terrace on the 1st floor that is a tucked away hidden gem. The views are stunning, and you can order your drinks to be brought up here!
If the weather isn’t holding up outside or you prefer a cozier vibe, head to the Lobby Bar for a drink instead. The inviting space is also a great spot for nightcap.

Dinner at Astor Grill
You have two dining options for dinner at Cliveden House, and while staying here I chose to dine at the newly opened Astor Grill. The more casual restaurant of Executive Chef Andre Garrett’s two restaurants on property, Astor Grill has lush leather booths indoors and a nice patio if you feel like dining al fresco.
What to order: Astor Fizz Cocktail, Hazelnut & Garlic Dip, Grilled Halibut with Salsa Verde, Sprouting Broccoli with Lemon & Almonds, Truffled Triple Cooked Chips, Sherry Macerated Watermelon & Strawberries

Safe travels y’all!
Best,
